Helps to diagnose gallstones, kidneys tones, problems of the liver, pancreas, thyroid gland, breast, ovaries, testes, lymph nodes, determine abnormal fluid collections or if an abnormal lump is either a solid tumour or a cyst and also a good tool to examine conditions affecting the organs in a woman's pelvis - the uterus, Fallopian tubes and ovaries.

An ultrasound scan is routine for pregnant women and gives a good and clear picture for the diagnosis of pregnant women providing a good overall impression of the foetus and helps to monitor the growth of the unborn child and check for abnormalities.
